
Claudia M. Allen is a Volunteer Lay Pastor at the Emmanuel Brinklow SDA Church. Passionate about people, social justice, and media communications, Pastor Allen is excited to begin her pastoral responsibilities working with the AV and Communications Ministries at EBC. During the week, Pastor Allen is the Community Outreach Supervisor for the Howard County Government Office of Human Rights & Equity in Columbia, Maryland. There she leads the Community Outreach Unit providing innovation, structure, and guidance to increase the impact and presence of the Office through community engagement and multi-media programming surrounding human rights, advocacy, equity, and inclusion.
Pastor Allen holds a Master of Arts in English from Georgetown University, a certificate in “Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace” from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government Executive Education Program, and a certificate in “Theology & Racialized Policing” from Sojourners, Howard University Divinity School, and the Christian Community Development Association. When Claudia isn’t conducting racial equity trainings and seminars, preaching, or promoting human rights in the community, she enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family.
